2. My favorite coffee shop here in Houston, Agora, has already been rebuilt after a fire burnt half of it down around Halloween. Thank goodness! I get much more work done there than anywhere else, for some reason.
3. I’ve never liked golf. Watching it, playing it, anything. Maybe I just don’t get it, but I find it boring. Unless it’s on in the background: it’s perfect to fall asleep to.
4. Ever since I watched The West Wing (which you absolutely have to see if you’ve never seen it before), I’m much more invested in politics. I feel like I understand it better. Who says TV can’t teach you anything?
5. My new goal is to learn how to salsa dance. I’ve always, always wanted an excuse to salsa, and now I just need to learn how.
Happy weekend, everyone! Anyone have any fun weekend plans?

Alex Pettyfer is gorgeous, but I am really not a fan of his acting. :p
ReplyDeleteAlex Pettyfer is indeed gorgeous (agreeing with Alex Mullarky).
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh?! It's already been rebuilt! Looks like I need to make a trip there, maybe it'll be lucky for me as well!!!
Will I see you next week at Lauren Olivers signing?? I can't keep my head on straight!
Hel-lo! I've never seen this Alex Prettyboy before, but I'm down with watching him do whatever. He looks a little like Jensen Ackles, who I'd give a kidney to be alone in a room with for an hour. (TMI?)
ReplyDeleteI don't watch the West Wing, but I completely get what you mean. Ever since I got sucked into watching Criminal Minds I have a strong desire to become an FBI profiler in their Behavioral Analysis Unit!
Have a great weekend. Just M:tG and being a nerd. :)
ReplyDeleteHe is who I pictured the whole time I read anyways and his forte seems to be book into movies conversions. It could happen!
ReplyDeleteI've never gone to a coffee shop exclusively to write, but once while waiting for a friend, I filled pages upon pages in a notebook. There must be something in the air.
I think the West Wing had a huge impact on a lot of people, it definitely made politics more accessable.
ReplyDeleteI don't know who Alex Pettyfer is...but I sure am going to IMDB him right now! Um...does that sound dirty?

Salsa!? How fun! Golf really is uber boring as crap. And That is a GREAT choice for Jace! I pictured him a little younger but other than that he is perfect!
ReplyDelete#3, me neither. I have an uncle who loves to watch it, I just don't see the appeal.
ReplyDeleteWow, Alex Petty is hot!
ReplyDeleteLove Salsa! LOVE coffee shops. Totally hate golf. Blech! Happy weekend :)
ReplyDeleteI've never seen Pettyfer act, so I can't really comment on that, but I do think he looks the part.
ReplyDeleteSalsa sounds like fun! I tried Bollywood dancing recently and it was fab! I've not heard of Alex Petty but good lord, is he a hottie? mmm ;)
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend! I'm shopping and lunching tomorrow, and also a special birthday lunch for my OH mother on Sunday. Fingers crossed, I'll squeeze in some revisions too. ;) x
The Hubster keeps trying to get me to golf with him. So don't want to. I find it just as boring as you do. Miniature golf? Now that's excitement. ;-) We're headed to San Diego for the weekend. Fun!
ReplyDeleteI don't want to see Alex as Jace. It's too much if they've already cast him as Number Four in that series. While I agree that he's gorgeous, they need fresh blood for Jace. And by fresh blood, I mean NO Disney actors.
I love writing in coffee/tea houses too. Glad yours is in working order again.
ReplyDeleteAnd I am not a fan of golf, except there is a Kang playing so I can't help but cheer, this once!
I still have to read the Mortal Instruments series!
ReplyDeleteI love The West Wing! When they were talking about the new Press Secretary on NPR today i was thinking oooh CJ's job :)
Good Luck with the salsa!
I'm thinking I didn't get ANY politically bent genes; West Wing left me even more confused than before:0)
ReplyDeleteSkiing! Can't wait to blog about it haha. It's always an interesting day when a four-year-old is involved.
ReplyDeleteAnd oh my goodness! Clearly we are the same person. Especially cause I'm from Texas, too, and will now need to check out Agora sometime. You probably left the Flatiron just as I was coming in. We could have bumped into each other in the hallway. Although at that point I was keeping my head down -- working in that building had me constantly star-struck!
I am so with you on the West Wing! Especially as an Aussie, I learned so much about American politics by watching it--which is important even over here, because what happens in the US can have a big impact. Love it! (Am also with you on golf.)
ReplyDeleteI have no idea who the guy in the photo is or what film they want him to be in..... but I approve of the choice!
ReplyDeleteHmmm, while I like Alex P. I will have to wait and see how he does as Number 4 in the movie I AM NUMBER FOUR.
